Tanya Witman has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003. She received her training at the Polarity Realization Institute in Portland, Maine. After moving to Tucson in 2006, she worked at Canyon Ranch Health Resort for 2 years before starting her private practice in Arizona. In 2020 she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Goddard College. This education informs the work you will be doing together. Tanya emphasizes holistic sessions in which, while attempting to target and release pain and limitation, she invites the client to explore what may be underlying the issues and work to adjust habits and processes that can contribute to achieving lasting relief and wellness.
During your appointment, please expect a postural analysis, education, and targeted focus. There may be questions and conversation throughout the appointment as issues unveil themselves. Likely you will leave with “homework” to help assist your further healing.

Benefits of massage:
The benefits of massage are well-documented and often surprising. Massage can provide something as simple as a sense of calm and well-being. It can also boost immune system response, improve memory, stimulate digestion, and aid in sleep issues. It can even be used as part of treatment for disorders such as asthma, Parkinson’s Disease, fibromyalgia, ADHD, cancer, multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Appointments are 90 minutes, available Wednesday, and Friday. It is recommended that you give at least two weeks’ notice when trying to schedule as time slots fill up quickly.
